"For he who is least among you all--he is the greatest." (Luke 9:48)
Here's two four huge lies this world will tell you.
1] You are your job
2] You are your appearance.
This list [or rather two words] could go on forever, but these I find our two of the largest lies that people for one reason or another believe. [1] King David started life as a Shepard boy, a boring low life job that his father had given him. Obviously of all his fathers sons, he was the least favored, as usually a servant or slave would do this. The little things he learned during this "job" served him well later in life. He killed the fearful giant Goliath with his sling, and drove the evil spirit away from soul with his harp and song. However, as both you and I know, he was chosen to become the King of Israel by the prophet Samuel. [2] His other brothers looked the job [were tall, strong, handsome] but God chose David because of his heart, not appearance.
The christmas season is closing and the monotonous life begins again. Remember what is said in
Philippians 4:13, "I can do everything through him who gives me strength." God bless.
